Our state of the art rehabilitation center is equipped to treat a wide range of muscloskeletal conditions.  From rotator cuff injuries of the shoulder to strengthening of the low back muscles following  spinal disc surgery; our doctors and rehab specialists are extensively trained to return you to pre-injury health.

Disc herniations, osteoarthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches, chronic neck or lowback pain, sinus problems; these conditions are treated every day at Wise Chiropractic and Rehabilitation  Center.  Our doctors have extensive experience in treating cases which have been determined “untreatable”. Through various modern techniques we are often able to successfully treat conditions that did not respond to conventional medicine.  If you are told “you have to learn to live with it” give us a call.

Decompression therapy is a non-surgical procedure that effectively treats disabling low back, neck and radiating arm and leg pain.

The conditions that have been found to respond very favorably to this treatment include disc herniations and bulges, degenerative discs, spondylolisthesis and facet syndromes to name a few.  This is accomplished by reducing the pressure (creating a negative pressure) around the spinal discs and facet joints through unloading created by distraction and positioning.

Through the use of our Cox flexion/ distraction technique, we are able to safely treat patients that suffer from various conditions such as osteoarthritis or osteoporosis (brittle bone disease). This manipulative technique is also used in treating patients with bulging or herniated discs in the low back. Very often we can successfully avoid disc surgery in these cases.  This very gentle form of manipulation is often used on our elderly patients and is found to be “very comfortable”.

Will Decompression Therapy Help Me?

Decompression therapy is a highly successful, conservative treatment for patients suffering from bulging, herniated, degenerative, or ruptured discs. This treatment has also been found to successfully relieve sciatica (leg pain), as well as pain resulting from carpal tunnel syndrome. Failed back surgery patients can often benefit greatly and ‘get back to life’ following a course of decompression therapy.

We at Wise Chiropractic and Rehabilitation Center feel that we have a unique service to offer. By combining traditional chiropractic techniques with modern rehabilitative therapy, we provide the “complete” healing process. Through this effective treatment we are able to treat the injured worker and avoid lost time, have the athlete ready for the big game, or completely rehab that car accident whiplash.

Decompression Therapy

Decompression therapy effectively enhances the healing process and renders quick, effective and amazing pain relief that enables most patients to return to a more active lifestyle.

This technique has been highly researched by prominent physicians, engineers, and technicians at major teaching hospitals.

Decompression therapy begins with a series of sessions typically 3-4 times per week for no more than 4 weeks. These sessions generally last 10-12 minutes followed by electric stimulation and ultrasound which aid the muscles and ligaments.

Your doctor will likely incorporate a very specific ‘core muscle stabilizing’ exercise program as soon as you are able to tolerate it.
